Terra di Dio
Mur Akush è l'antico nome berbero di Marrakech, una delle città più note ed importanti del Marocco.
Per i berberi, che abitarono queste zone fin dalla preistoria, Mur Akush significa Terra di Dio.
E fu proprio questa terra, nel corso dei secoli, ad accogliere culture così distanti come gli egizi, i romani ed infine gli arabi, che colonizzarono e plasmarono il paesaggio, lasciando stratificazioni ancor oggi visibili ad occhio nudo.
II Marocco è in effetti uno stato africano sui generis in cui le varie culture che lo abitano sembrano trovare un sottile trascendente
equilibrio: è proprio nella Terra di Dio che religione e laicismo si intrecciano circondati dal respiro metafisico di un duro e variegato
paesaggio naturale.
E' la Terra di Dio, l'antica terra dei berberi, ad accogliere e stemperare le diversità; è la terra di dove finisce la Terra.
Mur Akush is the ancient Berber name of Marrakech, one of the most known and important towns of Morocco. For the Berbers, who have lived in these areas since prehistory, “Mur Akush” means “Land of God”. It was just this land, which over the centuries, has accepted such distant cultures, like the Egyptians, the Romans and at last the Arabs, who colonized and shaped the landscape, leaving some stratifications visible to the naked eye still nowadays.
Morocco is actually a quite different African State, a state where several cultures, which lived there, seemed to find a thin transcendent balance: it is just in the “Land of God” that both religion and secularism intertwine circled by a metaphysical breath of a varied, rugged natural landscape.
It is the “Land of God”, the ancient land of the Berbers, which received and met the differences: it is the land where the Earth ends!
